
Hazel S. Stephens, a native of Montpelier and a resident of Glynn, passed away Saturday Dec. 27, 2008, at the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 79. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Dec. 28, was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 29, from 8 a.m. until service in the chapel at 10 a.m. Burial in Prairieville Cemetery. Mrs. Stephens is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Sam Leonard and Susan and Chip Bordelon; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Tommy and Robin Stephens, Bryan and JoAnn Stephens, Tyler Stephens and Gary Stephens and companion Tonya Sylvester; two sisters, Annabell Sanders and Leona Lewis; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Stephens Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Stephens; two granddaughters, Tammy Stephens and Cheryl Fontenot; grandson, Bryan W. Stephens; parents, Isral and Odeal Sullivan; sister, Rosalie Borders; and two brothers, Albert and Buddy Sullivan. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Terry, Michael and Stephen Collins, Bryan Stephens IV, T.J. Stephens, and Tee and Joe Bordelon.
