
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she died in Baton Rouge at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010. She was 63. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, July 2, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel Saturday, July 3, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ron Turner. Burial in Rogillio Cemetery in Tunica. She is survived by three sisters, Dolly K. Hebert, Jackie K. Simon, and Cathy K. Ryan and husband David; a brother, Raymond "Peanut" Kimball and wife Connie; three nieces, Brandy Hebert, Jaime Blackwell Guidry and Sarah Ryan; four nephews, Cyrus Hebert and wife Crista, Jason Paul Blackwell, Troy Kimball and wife Laurie, and Justin Kimball, all of Baton Rouge; biological father and her "Pops," James John Nicholas Sr.; half brothers, James John Nicholas Jr. and wife Tammy, of Tunica, and Jerry Wayne Menier; half sisters, Cynthia Nicholas and Shirley Nicholas, both of Tunica; and a large extended family and many close friends, including David Dunaway. Preceded in death by her parents, Earl Orin Kimball and Ruby Bass Kimball Menier; husband, William Washington; and brother, John Carl Kimball. She had entered many competitions with the Dobe Dabbers Ceramic Club and won the Peggy Award on three different occasions. One of her greatest pleasures was being able to teach ceramics to eager students.
