A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Sherwood Manor. He was 86 and a native of Plaquemine. He was a retired chief engineer at WIBR radio, and also managed the Robert E. Lee Theater. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his daughter, Catherine Major; sons, Herbert P. Coussou Jr. and his wife, Beth, and Thomas Alexander Coussou and his wife, Lisa; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
