He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Taylor; parents, Gordon Taylor Sr. and Bernadette Taylor; brother, Gordon Taylor, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Suzonne Bruhnke (Peter), Chuck Taylor (Lori), Kevin Taylor (Dana); grandchildren, Caleb Pugh (Kerri), Josh Taylor (Kristen), Blake Taylor (Kristin), Melissa Ray (Jason); and 8 great-grandchildren.
Howard was a pillar of the Baton Rouge community, being born and raised here. He served as a Deacon at Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Istrouma Class of ’55.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on July 28, 2025 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge from 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge.
