

Ila Blanche Bacot passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Monday morning, Jan. 29, 2007. She was 81 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m.Visiting will resume at St. James Episcopal Church on Thursday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m.until religious service at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Mark Holland. Interment will be inRoselawnMemorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger "Ravin' Dave" Davison and Dr. Frank Bacot, D.D.S.; and parents, Wilton Braud and Robbie Margaret Slocum. She is survived by her daughters and a son-in-law, Bobbie Nason of Baton Rouge, Dr. Billie Davison and Dr. Gary Baskin, both of Mandeville; sons, Steve and Jane Davison of Baton Rouge, Todd and Tory Davison of Atlanta; grandchildren, David Elias and wife Julie Elias, Andy Davison and wife Denise Davison, Katie Davison Sonnier and husband Brent, Will Fairburn, John Dave Fairburn, Hannah Davison, Cal Davison, Jim Files and wife Amanda; three great-grandchildren, David Allen Elias and Justin and Emmaline Files; two stepgrandchildren, Trevor O'Neal and Sydni O'Neal; and Dr. Frank Bacot's Children, Debbie, Laurie, Pam, Susie and Kathy. Pallbearers will be Gary Baskin, David Elias, Andy Davison, Will Fairburn, Trevor O'Neal and Michael Craig. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dave Fairburn. She was a longtime member of the Baton Rouge Art League, Volunteers of America, The Woman's Club and Colonial Dance Club.
