Jane Prejean, native of Lawtell, LA and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the age of 79. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Renee Prejean; and two sisters, Sis Martinez and Brenda Brian. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ewel and Ella Mae Manuel Kilchrist.
Jane was a 1960 graduate of Glen Oaks High School with the honor of “best dressed” in her class. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her meatball stew and homemade soup. She loved to jitterbug and was fondly called "whistle britches" by her friends. Jane was a loving soul, who always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
