Jane Cokes Yelverton

Jane Frances Cokes Yelverton passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, in Denham Springs after battling cancer. She is survived by her husband, Paul Milton Yelverton; daughter, Susan Marie Yelverton; son, Steven Paul Yelverton; grandson, Gabriel Michael McAllister; sisters and their husbands, Mary Agnes and Charles Hammett, and Cynthia "Cindy" Marie and Mark Jackson; brother, David Neal Cokes; half brother, William Vance "Billy" Cokes; nieces, Laura Leah Hammett Feldner, Sarah Nicole Cokes and Hayleigh Bergeron; nephews, Charles Russell Hammett, Dwayne Bernard Cokes, Mark Wade Jackson Jr. and Tyton and Andrew Bergeron; grandnieces, Grace Alise Cokes and Jazmin Cokes; grandnephews, Colby Danniel Hammett and Carlos Fitzgerald Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reggie and Doris Yelverton; and sisters-in-law, Anita Ducote, Rhonda Yelverton and Terry Lessard. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Dewey "JD" and Mary Eva Bernard Cokes; twin brother, James Dewey "Jim" Cokes Jr.; and grandparents, Dewey Vance and Bessie Lane Cokes, and Joseph Taylor and Adalize Loup Bernard. Visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Denham Springs on Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Paul Yi. Interment with her twin, James Dewey "Jim" Cokes, in Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St., will be held at a later date.
