A loving wife, mother, and grandmother of three, Jo Ann passed from this life at 9:19 am on August 5, 2024, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was 88 years old and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Norman Shreffler, who passed in 2015. Jo Ann was born in San Antonio, TX. in 1935. She later met and married Norman, an air force pilot, stationed in Hondo, TX in 1955. A resident of Baton Rouge since 1976, she was an active member of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir until 2019. She was an animal lover who enjoyed playing tennis and golf as a hobby. Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law: Kerry D. Shreffler and Shasta Callender of Baton Rouge, daughter and son-in-law: Dawn E. Shreffler Daddario and Dan Daddario of Nashville, TN; and grandchildren: Caleb Dean Shreffler of Baton Rouge, Chandler T. Daddario and Courtney E. Daddario of Nashville, TN. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Saturday, August 10 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Final arrangements will be handled by Schreffler Funeral Home of Kankakee, Illinois. Interment will be in the Shreffler Family Cemetery next to her beloved Norman in Kankakee County, Illinois. Honorary pallbearers are Kerry Shreffler, Caleb Shreffler, Tanner Callender, Nicholas Bourgeois, Dan Daddario and Chandler Daddario.
