Born June 8, 1948, JoAnne Lambert began her life surprising people and defying the odds. A beloved oldest sister, aunt and friend to all, she died in her sleep Thursday, June 24, 2010. Preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Gertrude Roppolo; husband, Clifford Lambert; brother, Larry "Tony" Roppolo; and nephew, Antonio "Boo" Gonzalez Jr. She is survived by two stepsons, Clifford Jr. and Richard Lambert; two sisters and their spouses, Antoinette "Butch" and David Rabalais and Barbara and Antonio "Tony" Gonzalez. Viewing will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Monday, June 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Services will be Tuesday at noon, followed by burial in Roselawn Gardens of Memory.
