
"JoAnn Temple Walker passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age 80. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Gloster Mississippi. She is survived by her 5 children Russ (Marianna) Walker, Jeanie (Keith) Zachary, Julie (Kirby) Hunnsucker, Joni (Dale) Lee, and Rachel (Ed) Hudson. She had twelve grandchildren, Patrick and Anna Leah Walker, Jeremy (Angie) Zachary, Keri (Austin) Rammell, Jacob (JoAnna) Zachary, Camille (Justin) Gilbert, Carmen (Josh) Delacruz,M.E. Hunnsucker Tori (Brad) Jessen, Trayce (David) Hockstead, Taylor (Devon-Leigh) Hudson, and Karley Hudson. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren. She has a brother J.W. Temple, and three sisters Annette Zachary, Imogene Orillion, and Cathy Haase. She is preceded in death by her mother and father F.W. and Helen Temple, and her husband of 47 years J.C. Walker Jr. Pallbearers will be Russ Walker, Keith Zachary, Jeremy Zachary, Jacob Zachary, Dr. Shaun Patrick Walker, and Taylor Hudson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Morris and Danny Miller. She is a high school graduate of Baker High School. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, sewing, spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved her church family at Foster Road Baptist Church. She also loved watching LSU football, car races, and cooking channels. Visitation will be Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Rabenhorst East 11000 Florida Blvd., beginning at 9:00 A.M until religious services in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M. conducted by Rev. Huey Moak, Rev. Mike Morris, and Rev. Keith Zachary with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Baker, LA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice or the Carpenter House. The family would like to express their gratitude to the medical staff at Golden Age Rehab facility, Ochsner Hospital, and Carpenter House, and to friends and family for all of your prayers, support, and encouragement during this journey.
