He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosa Sasso, sisters, Rosie Langlois and Carol Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sarah C Sasso, children, Joseph John Sasso Jr. (Vivian), Mary Kristine Paxton (Jeff), Clement John Sasso (Tracy); grandchildren, Britney Bertucci, Jennifer Nijoka (Blain), Nathan Sasso (Kim), Tiffany Hoffman (Stepphan), Megan Delaune (Jonathan), Collin Sasso (Laura), Dylan Sasso, great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Ben, Riley, Brayden, Gracyn, Brody, Solena, Corbin, Reese, and Audrey, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, woodworking, spending time with his family, and playing practical jokes on everyone
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge from 9:00 am. until 10.00 am with a service to follow. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park
