John P. North III died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, after a long illness. Johnny was born in Baltimore on Nov. 21, 1949, and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy of Lebanon, Tenn., and former owner of John North Plumbing. He was a member of Baton Rouge Plumbers Union Local 198. Preceded in death by his mother, Blondell North; and beloved dog, Tex. Survivors include his daughter, Katherine North Demicell; his father, John P. North Jr.; his sister, Martha North Tennison; and his nieces, Gayle Croxton, Dell Guglielmo . Also survived by Patricia North. A service will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, Nov. 14. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m.
