JD was a Korean War Vet serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member and usher at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana for over 35 years. JD was an electrician by trade and a proud member of Local 995 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
JD is survived by his children, Debbie Kidder (Will), Joe Berthelot (Eunice), Rick Berthelot (Penny); several grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and his brother Willie Berthelot.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and five sisters.
