Joseph M. Broussard, Jr. (Joe) was born on Jan. 24, 1928 and left his loving families on April 8, 2017. He was the son of Emma Dixon and Joseph M. Broussard, Sr. in Baton Rouge. He was happily married for 36 years to Emma Lee Ramsey who predeceased him. They had 4 children, Stacey, Dwayne, Bobby Broussard and Judy B. McGehee (husband, Johnny). He was happily married for another 27 years to Melody Guerra Broussard. He gained 2 stepdaughters, Hellen Hudson (husband Tom) and Sheri Morgan (husband Tommy) and a stepson Jeff Guerra (wife Judy). He had 4 grandson, Justin, Cody and Sean McGehee, Dylan Broussard and granddaughter, Emma Broussard as well as multiple nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Joe was predeceased by his sister, Florence B. Tucker and Wylie Broussard. Joe served his country in WWII and Korea. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, 50 year member of the UCT and a member of the American Legion. Visitation will be from 12pm until funeral services at 2pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephew, Buster Tucker.
