Joseph Morrison Cambre

A native of Slidell and a resident of Greenwell Springs, he passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the age of 75. Joseph was an Equipment Mechanic and a Pipe Fitter for the Local Steam Fitters #198. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was one of a kind and is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his family and all those that knew him. He is survived by his sons John Cambre (wife Tereasa) of Denham Springs and Brent Cambre (wife Amy) of Greenwell Springs; grandchildren Joseph, Laura, Kelcee, Jared, and Jordan Cambre; sister Dorothy Smith; mother of his sons Mrs. Joyce Branch; longtime companion Mrs. Faye Fugler; and numerous Cambre nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents John and Lilly Cambre; son Joseph Dean Cambre; great-granddaughter Destiny Rachelle Cambre; and eight siblings. Visitation will be on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church (15208 Hwy 73, Prairieville, LA 70769) at 12:30 PM until the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Prairieville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gregory Cambre, Sr., Gregory Cambre, Jr., John David Cambre, Jr., Jared M. Cambre, Jarrett Domanque, and Adam Nevels.
