Joseph Hodges

Joseph C. Hodges, 84, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2014 while surrounded by his family. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he served in the U.S. Navy on a destroyer. While stationed in New Orleans, he met and married the love of his life, Joyce Torres Hodges, his beloved wife of 65 years. Joseph retired from Kaiser Aluminum/Rain CII in 1996 as a chemical analyst with over 44 years of service. Joseph was a longtime resident of Arabi, Louisiana, and moved to Denham Springs after Katrina. He was a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church. Survived by his wife Joyce Hodges; Children Bonnie Gagliano (Timothy), Diana "Dee" Wild (Donald), and Robin Roberson (John); Grandchildren Corey Walker (Tabetha), Cheryl Hardouin (Jamie), Kylie Roberson, and the late Joseph Wild; Great Grandchildren Blake Walker, Mikayla and Piper Hardouin. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 9 AM until funeral service at 10 AM. A 12:30 PM Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
