

Joseph Abraham Kadair, born April 10, 1964, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He attended Catholic High School, and was a graduate of Tara High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. Joseph was raised and worked for many years in the family business Kadair's. He later worked in the medical field and for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. Joseph was passionate about many things, but of utmost importance to him was his faith in God and love of family. His greatest pride and joy was his son Jordan and grandchildren, Isabelle and Dalton - whom he adored. He had a love of travel and his pilgrimage to Medjugorje was one of the highlights of his life. He also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with close friends and family. He was an avid sports fan, especially for his beloved LSU Tigers. Joseph fought a courageous battle with MS for the last 10 years with dignity and grace. Even during his own struggles he was a source of strength for many; always showing compassion for others. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Ruby Johnson Kadair and Shaben "Sam" Kadair, and a sister Mary Theresa Kadair. He is survived by his son, Jordan Shaben Kadair and his wife Hasdy Lori Kadair, grandchildren Isabelle Sophia and Dalton Joseph Kadair, former wife and mother of Jordan, Julie Leigh Kadair and her parents Carolyn and Alvin Smith. His siblings, Howard Kadair and his wife Sherry, Dr. Roy Kadair and his wife Margo, Elizabeth Kadair Smith and her husband Casey, Dr. Jeffrey Kadair and his wife Lourdes, Nanette Kadair Culotta, Donald Kadair and his fiancé Vicky, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Kadair family would like to thank all of the doctors at the The Baton Rouge Clinic who cared for Joseph, a special thanks to Drs. April Erwin and Jessica Brown with the Neuromedical Center, Dr. Raju Vatsavai with the Baton Rouge General Hospital, and the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge for their compassion during this difficult time. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held for Joseph, Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2250 Main St., Baton Rouge, LA. Private inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, 3600 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
