

Joseph Earl LeBouef, 83, of Natchez, MS passed away on January 2, 2017 in New Orleans with his family by his side. He was born to the late Joseph and Noelie LeBouef on December 22, 1933 in New Roads, LA. He married Marguerite Catherine Dietrich on February 3, 1962, and they spent most of their life together in Natchez, MS. Earl worked as a professional photographer until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed hunting and carpentry. He was a pilot bobsledder from 1953 to 1956, winning a United States Bobsled World Champion in 1955. Earl is survived by his wife, Catherine of Natchez, MS; his two children: Karen Tyson and her husband, Joseph Tyson, of New Orleans, LA; and Martin LeBouef and his wife, Paget LeBouef, of Freeport FL; granddaughters, Maggie, Sarah, and Cecilia Tyson. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 1 p.m. until Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Vidalia, LA on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
