

Rev. J. Fulton McGraw, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the age of 91. After graduating from Mississippi College, he served as pastor of numerous churches throughout Louisiana. He was an accomplished musician winning many awards and playing several instruments especially the violin, guitar, harmonica, and the hand-saw. J. Fulton was a veteran of World War II serving the United States Navy. He served on numerous boards of the Louisiana Baptist Convention. J. Fulton was an avid football fan. J. Fulton is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Judy McGraw; children, Russel McGraw, and Kenneth McGraw; grandson, Alex McGraw; step-children, Russell Purvis and wife, Becky, Benita Purvis, and Bentley Purvis and wife, Michelle; sisters, Ethel Vincent and Patricia Hayman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Earl McGraw and his parents. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Newellton, LA from 11 a.m. until Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, LA following the funeral. Special thanks to his sister, Patricia and her husband, Nelson Hayman for all their care in his time of illness. He was a faithful servant who loved and served the Lord for 61 years and will truly be missed by all he ministered to.
