Joy was a loving and respectful presence to all who knew her—steadfast in her devotion to family and gracious in the way she welcomed others. She attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana School of Nursing and later worked as a realtor. Joy also enjoyed playing tennis, and she especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known for her warm hospitality, she enjoyed entertaining and creating moments that brought people together.
Joy is survived by her husband, Frank Gremillion; her son, Scott Gremillion; her daughters, Stephanie Miletello, Stacey Gremillion, and Allyson Strange; her sister, Patsy Castilaw; and her brother, Richard Guffey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean Walters, Christina Walters, Johnathon Walters, Kendall White, Sam Strange, Caroline Strange, and Alden Strange; and her great-grandchildren, Beckett Watson, Rylee Watson, Reaghan Watson, and Dylan Walters.
Please join us as we celebrate the life of our beloved Joy Gremillion this Friday, March 27th with visitation from 9:00 am until memorial services begin at 10:00 am. Both events will take place at St. Joseph's Cathedral, 412 North St., Baton Rouge, LA.
