A retired seed analyst with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture, she died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008. She was 96, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the chapel on Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Hammett. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Jan Wood, and her husband, Raymond, Baton Rouge; and grandson, Derek Wood, New Orleans. Preceded in death by her husband, Ben H. Grayson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
