Kathleen McQuaid Walker died at 12:25 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007, at her home. She was born in Baton Rouge on March 5, 1923. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and retired from Ethyl Corp. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, July 9, from 8:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Frank B. Bass, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Eric E. Walter Jr.; stepson, Eric E. Walter III; sister, Patty Coerver and husband Tom; and sister-in-law, Frances McQuaid. She is also survived by nephews, John McQuaid and wife Betty, and Tom Coerver Jr. and wife Esther; and niece, Kathleen Garganus and husband Stephen. Preceded in death by her parents, John William and Regina Kleinpeter McQuaid; and a brother, John W. McQuaid. Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., is in charge of arrangements.
