A retired U.S. Government secretary and native of Moreauville, she died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at The Carpenter House. She was 95 and a resident of St. James Place, Baton Rouge. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2021 Stuart Ave, on Monday, April 23, 2012 from noon until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm celebrated by the Rev. Jamin S. David. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a sister, Madeline Lemoine of Alexandria; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Joseph R. Bishop of Syracuse, NY; and her parents, Sam and Catherine Novo Mayeux. Arrangement by Rabenhorst Funeral Home East.
