
Kathryn Case Lofton, a native of Brookhaven, MS, and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014, at the age of 80. Mrs. Lofton was retired from East Baton Rouge Parish with over 30 years of service and was a devoted member of Stevendale Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Kathryn devoted so much of her life to her family and friends. Whether baking cakes, ironing, or making her infamous deviled eggs, Mother demonstrated her love in so many ways. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 2 pm until services in the chapel at 6 pm officiated by Rev. Stephen Young and Rev. Byron Townsend. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Home, 76 Hwy 51S, Brookhaven, MS, from 5 pm until 8 pm and will continue on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1230 Macedonia Rd. NW, Brookhaven, MS, from 10 am until funeral services at 11 am officiated by Rev. Aubrey Case, Jr. and Rev. Garland Boyd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Kathryn is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Sue and Michael Johnson; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Gary and Dianne Lofton; grandchildren, Robert Jason Lofton, Brandon Bennett Lofton and wife Rosa, John Michael Johnson, Amy Johnson Stephens and husband Wes, and Kacy Johnson St. Pe' and husband Kory; twelve great-grandchildren, Jonah, Annabelle, Alexander, Abigail, Mason, and Cayden Lofton, Wyatt, Waylon, Walker, and Amelia Stephens, Kaden and Kasen St. Pe'. She is also survived by a sister, Faye Case Smith and two brothers, Aubrey and Ralph Case. Preceded in death by her husband Robert Lofton, parents Lucious and Kceal Case, and brothers Howard and Herman Case. Pallbearers will be Brandon and Jason Lofton, Roger and Mark Case, Wes Stephens and Kory St. Pe'. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce and Kevin Smith, Keith Peden, Kenneth Ray Allen and Denson Case. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Stevendale Baptist Church, 16545 Old Hammond Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Gone unexpectedly, but peacefully, "Noo Nee" has won her eternal life. The world's loss has been heaven's gain.
