
Kay Blitzer Olson, 67, of Foster City, California, died peacefully and holding hands with her children on April 29, 2015. Kay leaves behind a lifetime of amazing memories to her adoring children, Emily Rose Olson of Boston, MA, and Benjamin Andrew (Madeline) Olson of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Sidney M. Blitzer, Jr. and Carol Anne Blitzer; nieces, Caroline Blitzer Phillips and her husband Craig, and Elizabeth Reiter Blitzer; uncles and aunts; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helene Kantrow Blitzer and Sidney Milton Blitzer. Kay was a world traveler and passionate about the arts. When she wasn't teaching 3rd grade, she spent her time at the ballet, opera, museums, theater, or designing her own artwork of painting and pottery. She was a 1967 debutante of the Baton Rouge Assembly, a member of the Junior League in Baton Rouge and San Francisco, and was a graduate of The University Laboratory School (LSU), Stephens College and Tulane University. A memorial service will be held at Peninsula Temple Beth El on Sunday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, until religious services at noon, conducted by Rabbi Jordan Goldson. Burial in Jewish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Maurice Kantrow Jr., Byron Raphael Kantrow Jr., Michael Jay Kantrow, Lee Charles Kantrow, Dr. Mark Lewis Kantrow, Lee Charles Kantrow Jr., Paul Brock Kantrow and Jacob Marshall Kantrow.
