
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kay Cain Visconti, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, beloved sister, and cherished friend, who left this world on April 1, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born on July 5, 1956, in New Iberia, Louisiana, Kay was the daughter of Lois Branch Cain and Charles Emery Cain. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Visconti Jr., a partnership that exemplified love and devotion. They built a beautiful life together, creating a family steeped in love and joy. She is survived by her adoring children, Ashley Fuqua and stepchildren James Visconti and Joseph Visconti III, who carry on her spirit and values. Kay is also survived by her brothers, William Cain and Robert Cain, who provided her with companionship and support throughout her life.
A proud grandmother, Kay delighted in her grandchildren: Benay Jeansonne Davis, Jewel Jeansonne, Madison Visconti, Benjamin Visconti, Kennedy Visconti, and Joseph Visconti IV. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts. Her joy multiplied with the addition of her great-grandchildren, Landry Davis and Hayden Davis, who brought her boundless happiness. Kay also leaves behind her beloved cat, Sadie, who was a constant companion through the years.
Kay's educational journey led her to University of Southwestern Louisiana where she pursued her passion for nursing. She devoted her career to serving others as an Operating Room Nurse, a role that showcased her generous heart and unwavering dedication to helping those in need. Her kindness extended beyond the hospital walls; she was deeply involved in her community through organizations like Habitat for Humanity and participated in multiple mission trips. She was a dedicated member of Graceway Presbyterian Church, where she found fellowship and purpose.
In her spare time, Kay indulged her love for researching genealogy, uncovering the rich history of her family. She enjoyed traveling to new places and spending time at the beach, where the sun and surf matched her warm spirit. Kay was known for her joyful demeanor and kindness, always lending a helping hand to those around her.
Her funeral service will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life of Kay Cain Visconti, a woman who embodied love, kindness, and generosity.
