Leah Clare Tatman died unexpectedly at the age of 30 on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was a 2009 graduate of St. Michael’s High School, attended BRCC, and was employed by the Eye Medical Center. To know Leah was to know a truly kind-hearted, loyal, and compassionate friend. With her electric blue eyes and inviting smile, her contagious laugh never failed to light up any room she entered. Leah lived life to the fullest, often attending LSU football tailgates, crawfish boils, and never skipping a gathering of friends or family. She fiercely treasured her close family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Leah is survived by her parents, Janet Norwood Magee and Ted Magee; her brother, Troy Magee; her sister, Molly Magee; her father, Jay Tatman; former stepmother, Jill Bates Thielemann; siblings, Mallory Tatman and Jake Tatman; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by a daughter who she selflessly placed with a wonderful adoptive family in 2010. She enjoyed regular contact with this precious child, was extremely proud of her, and loved her more than life itself. Leah was welcomed into the glory of heaven by her grandparents, Clarence and Joy Norwood, J.P. and Cecile Tatman, and also her maternal aunt Cindy Cormier. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government St. Thursday, January 27, from 5 pm - 8 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, January 28, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church from 10 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Missionaries of Charity, 737 East Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, or to the Catholic Charities Maternity and Adoption Office, 1900 Acadian Thruway, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
