A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008. He was retired owner of Hebert Blind and Awning Co., a resident of Central, a native of Dutchtown and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday was from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Betty Babin; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Ginger Butler; daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Roger Kirby, and Vickie and Johnnie Seal; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Nell Gautreaux and Jeanette Breaud. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonce and Dilsie Babin; brothers, Elder and Tyler Babin; sister, Avona Pizzuto; and grandson, Brian Perry. Pallbearers will be his six grandsons, Jimmy and Ryan Butler, Dallas Bird, Warren Kron Jr., Primo and Dominic Nardi, and brother-in-law, William "Butch" Lovett.
