A loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 after a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was a commercial real estate developer and broker for many years and the owner of L. Dyer Autoplex. His passion was breeding, raising, and showing cutting horses. He is survived by his wife, Kay Martello Dyer; former wife and mother of his three children, Elaine Dyer Miscar; daughters, Denise Dyer Roddy and fiancé, Jimmy Nowlin, and Jennifer Dyer Mac Nealy and husband, Zachary; son, Bryant Charles Dyer and wife, Rhonda; step children, Micah Martello, Matthew Martello and wife, Jennifer; Mitchell Martello, Meredith Martello and fiancé, Stosh Kozlowski, and Miranda Whatley and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Cody, Cassidy, and Christina Roddy, Ashlyn and Mallory Dyer, Bryce and Dawson Mac Nealy, Max, Vance, Lacey, Mason, and Elle Martello, Chelsea, Courtney and Shane Guillot, Andre and Miles Morales, and Pia Frances Kozlowski. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Agatha Cormier Dyer, and son in law, Wade Randall Butler. Visitation will be held at Green oaks Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 9 AM until funeral service at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bryant Dyer, Zachary Mac Nealy, Ronnie Roe, Cody Roddy, Mike Kirkland, Micah and Matthew Martello, Homer Thornton and Jimmy Nowlin. Honorary pallbearers will be John Dupree and Shelby Robert.
