Louis Moncla Brooks

Louis M. Brooks was born in Port Allen, LA, on June 13, 1937, and died on December 13, 2022. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, La. Louis retired from the State of Louisiana DOTD in 1995 after 35 years of service. He loved worshiping God & Jesus at Trinity Lutheran for over 42 years. He loved to fish and work with wood. He and his wife loved to travel and went to all 50 states. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Theresa, 3 children and their spouses, Elizabeth Brooks Fox (Richard), David (Cathy) and Diane Brooks Trekell (Reid), Step-daughter, Melanie Theel (John) and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and his brother Teryl (Helen Claire) of Little Rock, AR. and niece and nephew and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Teryl and Lily Moncla Brooks. The Memorial Worship Service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15160 S. Harrells Ferry Road, Baton Rouge with Pastor Bill Crowe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, December 19, 2022, with Pastor Bill Crowe officiating.
