Louis Levy Kaufman, 84, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, a graduate of Baton Rouge High and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by a sister, Beryl Kaufman Kober; a nephew, Ron Kober; two nieces, Stephanie Kober and Lynn Kober; great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis M. and Clarice Levy Kaufman; and a nephew, Richard Kober. Graveside services at Liberal Cemetery on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beth Shalom Synagogue.
