
Mrs. Lucille Thompson Berthelot, a native of Colfax and a resident of Baton Rouge, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was 88 years of age. Mrs. Berthelot was a ministry assistant at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, with 22 years of service. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visiting at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church on Sunday, Aug. 10, from 2 p.m. until funeral service at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Louis Boyd and the Rev. Randy Johnson. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Elisabeth Adair and Charlotte and Kelley Peck, all of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren and their spouses, Tom and Michelle Adair, of Slidell, Andy and Belinda Adair, of Salt Lake City, and Caroline and Jeremy Hader, of Baton Rouge; and four great-grandchildren, Robert and Jeffrey Adair and Ellie and Ben Hader. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth McCook, of Boerne, Texas, and Irene Booth, of Baton Rouge; and a brother, Bruce Thompson, of Ruston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley H. Berthelot; parents, John and Cecelia Thompson; and two brothers, J.T. and James L. Thompson. Pallbearers will be Tom Adair, Joey Booth, Keith Brown, Mark Buchanan, Tony DelRay, Jeremy Hader and Keith Brown. Mrs. Berthelot's family wishes to express a special thank you for the compassion and care given by Diane Miller, a chaplain with Lifesource Services of Baton Rouge, and Judy Smith with Lake Sherwood Village.
