Margaret Anne Britt

Margaret Anne Nail Britt, a native of Hernando, Mississippi and resident of Brentwood TN, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her residence at Morning Pointe of Brentwood Assisted Living at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Elmo and Susie Dunaway Nail, her brother, Harvey Elmo (Jack) Nail, Jr. as well as his wife Mary Lee Berryhill and their son Larry Phillip Nail. She is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Henry Tillman Britt; her children, David Tillman Britt (Viola), Michael Keith Britt (Judy) and Suzanne Britt Roberson (Barry); six grandchildren, John Ellis Britt (Molly), Christopher Tillman Britt (Bonnie), John Dunaway Britt (Rose), Elizabeth Pierce Britt (Patrick Kellam), Annebel Leigh Roberson, Lilly Paige Roberson; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Tillman Britt, Elijah Marshall Britt, Simon Charles Britt and Jackson Robert Britt. Margaret Anne graduated from Mississippi State College for Women (now MUW) and moved to Jackson, MS where she met the love of her life, Tillman Britt. She enjoyed her hymns and is remembered as a talented pianist, excellent cook and accomplished rose gardener. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Baton Rouge and more recently Broadmoor Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Friday, September 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. A visitation reception will be held at Morning Pointe of Brentwood, TN on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Joseph School (thejosephschool.org), Special Ministries of Livingston County, Michigan (special-ministries.org), or United Way of Central Louisiana (uwcl.org).
