Margaret Ann Marquez Stephens born in New Orleans, raised in Picayune, MS, and a resident of Baton Rouge&Walker, LA departed this world for her eternal home on October 10, 2014. She was surrounded by family at her home after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. Before her retirement, she worked as a paralegal and as a librarian for LSU and the EBR Parish Library System. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of BR until becoming a founding member of Faith Crossing UMC. She is survived by her husband, Gene A. Stephens, her two sons Matthew and Daniel Stephens, her daughter-in-law, Rev. Leslie Stephens, her two grandchildren Samantha and Thomas Stephens and her brother John Marquez. Her memorial service will be held on Monday October 13th at 6 p.m. at Faith Crossing UMC. Rev. Warren Clifton and Rev. Leslie Stephens will be officiating.
