

Marguerite Ragusa Parsons, 96, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by all of her children on June 20, 2016 at 7:55 pm, in Baton Rouge, La. She was born in Torbert, LA on April 18, 1920 the second daughter of Samuel J. Ragusa and Mary Cicero. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. All who met her couldn't help but love her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas A Parsons 30 years ago. She is survived by her daughters and sons, Eddie P. Dimaio and spouse Nickie C. Dimaio, Thomas Aaron Parsons, Sr., and his spouse Cindee H. Parsons, Gerald C. Parsons, Teri Parsons Reine and her spouse Steven "Bret" Reine, David Brian Parsons and his spouse Patricia "Trisha" Elizabeth Parsons. Grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, Nickie Dimaio II, Darron Charles Dimaio and spouse Janese Nicole Dimaio, Lori Elizabeth Parsons, Thomas Aaron Parsons, Jr. and spouse Brandy B. Parsons, Jordan Cole Parsons and his spouse Rachel Lynette Parsons, Jacob Christopher Parsons, Timothy Jason Ricks, Ashley Marguerite Perez and her spouse Ernest "Corky" Perez, Jinger Lee Morgan and her spouse Calen Morgan, Laura Parsons Keller and her spouse Phillip Paul Keller, and Joseph Andrew Parsons. Jenna De'Sha Babin Rushing, her spouse Ryan Rushing and Colton Michael Dimaio and girlfriend Laurielle Dubroc, Kaleigh Elizabeth Dimaio and Dara Nicole Dimaio, Christian "Bryant" Waguespack, Dylan Thomas Waguespack, and Andrew "Blake" Waguespack, Alexander Cole Parsons, Ethan Grant Parsons and Jenna Kate Parsons, Haylee Elizabeth Ricks, Evan Ryan Perez and Owen Thomas Perez and Ainsley Ann-Marie Rushing. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ben F. Ragusa, John J. Ragusa, Huey Ragusa, and Samuel "Junior Ragusa, and her sister Joanne Ragusa Tiffee, also her brother in laws James Hernandez, Mike Capone, Emile "Smokey" Noto, Johnny Griffin and Howard Holder and sister in laws Joyce Babin Ragusa and Ina B. Ragusa. We would also like to thank her caregiver who were so great to her during her last time, Erica Hutson, Dawn Tibaut, Caroline Williams and Tawyn Knockum and Dr. David Fontenot and Dr. David Hansen.Also Son Huynh Ngo of Sons Jewlry and Sam Ricatta. She never asked for anything, and was always forgiving. She was the rock in our family. Held everyone together always so king and so giving of herself to everyone not just family but everyone she knew and loved. Our mom taught us that faith and family are the most important things in life. We strive to teach those two things to our children like she taught us. She was always there for all of her children. Rest in peace our sweet Angel we are so fortunate to have had you in our lives. Your dedication to family, values and work ethics responsibility, compassion, strong faith and family above all else and exemplified. Services will be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home from 3:00 pm to 9 pm Thursday. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Jean Vinney on Friday with visitation from 8:30 to time of mass at 10:00 am. Father Greg Daigle will officiate the mass. Pallbeares will be her grandsons, Nickie Charles II, and Darron Dimaio, Tommy Parsons, Jr., Timothy Ricks, Jordan C. Parsons, Jacob C. Parsons, Andrew Blake Waguespack and Joseph Parsons. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital, and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
