A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Kansas City, Kan., she passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, April 2, from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Randy Currier. Private interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Sue Richard; two sons, James J. and William A. Smith; sister, Betty Kolinda; grandchildren, Jason W. and Jacob W. Richard and Julian A., Elliott J., Jonathan D., Maria and Tiffany Smith; and great grandchildren, Ava Kate and Sophia Rose Richard.
