Marie Theriot Montecino, born on February 11, 1949, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Originally from Metairie, LA, she relocated to Baton Rouge in 2007 where she became a fulltime resident. Marie was a special person who had strong beliefs in equality for all people’s rights. She would be the first to let you know what was on her mind because it would come out of her mouth. No longer in pain, she passed away surrounded by loved ones. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Montecino Jr; adoptive parents, Conception and Klebert J. Theriot; and in-laws, Anna and George P. Montecino Sr. She is survived by Patrica (Montecino) and Louis Gomez, Jennifer and Larry Gomez, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of which she loved dearly.
