Marie Ventrella Sanders

Marie Ventrella Sanders, native of Jacoby, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on October 20, 2021 at the age of 90. Marie was a lifetime member of Pioneers, and avid collector and loved to travel. She retired from South Central Bell after 33 years of service. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Warren H. Sanders; parents, George and Mary Ventrella; sisters, Isabell Prevost, Lilly Toups, and Josie Bourgeois; and one brother, Anthony Ventrella. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 4 pm until 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 26 at St. George Catholic Church from 9 am until Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trent Bercegeay, Devin Charpentier, Pat Prevost, Ron and Connor Rouillier, and Doug McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Reggie Sanders, Kevin Bercegeay, Rusty Atchison, Johnny Ventrella, and Michael Bourgeouis. The family would like to thank Pinnacle Hospice for the care provided to Mrs. Marie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge or Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area.
