Mark Allen Burd, a loving father and son passed on February 23rd, 2024 at the age of 56. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge where he embraced the sportsman’s paradise through his love of fishing and hunting.
Mark had a circle of loyal and life-long friends and will be missed by all the people he touched. He was the longtime owner of Mark’s Marine Aquarium where he was able to share his love and knowledge of tropical fish with his many customers and friends. In addition to his love of fishing, hunting and all things outdoors, Mark was a self-taught wood worker and musician.
Mark’s greatest love was his four daughters Breanna, Brooke, Bailey and Blair and he took great pride in bragging about their many accomplishments. He is also survived by his loving parents, Gerry Burd and Ann Wilson and sister Lynne Browning (Lance) and his niece Paige. He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother Bryan and his grandparents.
Memorial services to honor his life will be held on March 23rd at Rabenhorst East Funeral home. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with a service to follow.
