A retired cosmetologist, native of Bogalusa and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at her home. She was 87. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, March 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews. Graveside service at Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. She is survived by her three nephews, Mike Seale, of Bogalusa, and Bill and Dan Seale, both of Baton Rouge. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William Morris Shields Sr.; mother, Ethel Foil Seale; father, Silas Seale; and brothers, Richard and Howard Seale. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge.
