

"Mary ""Bebe"" McCain Johnson Sill, a native of Montgomery, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on June 6, 2017 at the age of 96. Mary was a graduate of LSU, a member of Phi Mu Alumnae, First United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter AA, Baton Rouge General Hospital Auxiliary, and Questors Book Club. She is survived by daughters, Libby Johnson Crespo of Baton Rouge, and Barbara Johnson Ross and husband Richard of Gulfport, MS; stepdaughters, Ellen Wattenbarger and husband Doug of Bakersfield, CA, Gretchen Zachary and husband Larry of Roseville, CA, and Mary Guerrero and husband Tim of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Alexa Montgomery Krnjaic and husband Mark of Denver, CO, Stephen Hans Montgomery and wife Kim of Chicago, Clare Crespo Chinlund and husband James of Los Angeles, CA, and Paul Crespo and wife Marie of Baton Rouge; and numerous grandchildren in Bakersfield, CA; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Caleb Robin, Django Hunter of Baton Rouge, Louise Krnjaic of Denver, Alex, Julia and Conner Montgomery of Chicago, and numerous other great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leita Alford McCain Stacey and Wilmot McCain Sr; husband, Lea K. Johnson Sr.; son, Lea K. Johnson Jr.; husband, John B. Sill; granddaughter, Tara Taylor Robin; brother, Wilmot McCain Jr.; and son-in-law, Michael Crespo. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, from 10:00 a.m. until a funeral service at 12:00. The service will be officiated by Rev. Brady Whitton of First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Stephen Hans Montgomery, Richard Ross, Doug Wattenbarger, Larry Zachary, Jason Robin, Stanford O. Bardwell. Honorary Pall-bearers will be great-grandsons, Aiden and Caleb Robin and Django Hunter. The family would like to give special thanks to the love and support from First United Methodist Church, the caring and gentle hands of The Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge, the help and devotion of caregiver, Ebony Stokes, and the staff of the Haven.
