Maryanne Russo Amorello

IN THE CARE OF

A retired LA Dept. of Labor employee and a native of Baton Rouge, she died January 17, 2023, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 89. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on, January 19, 2023 beginning 9:30AM until the Mass of
Christian Burial at 11:00AM celebrated by her godchild, Rev. Gregory J. Daigle. Entombment in the church cemetery mausoleum. She is survived by her son; Michael J. Amorello, grandchild; Brennan J. Amorello: and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Amorello, and son Mark J. Amorello; parents, Joseph and Gerolama "Mamie" Territo Russo, four sisters, Josephine Russo Mahnken. Patricia Russo Daigle, Loretta Russo Pearce, and Margaret Russo Fletcher. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of
America, the St. George Altar Societies, the American Italian Association, and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary. Many thanks to all her doctors, healthcare givers at St. Joseph Hospice of Baton Rouge, and Moore Caregiver Services. Special thanks to Crystal Ely and the many family and friends who visited throughout her illness.
Maryanne was always a joy to be around and strived for smiles and happiness.
