A retired Ormet Corp. employee with 30 years of service, he died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 84 and a native of Natalbany. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Oct. 27, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva Hernandez Rogers; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Beverly Rogers, of Baton Rouge; and a grandson, Christopher James Rogers. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Rogers and Albert Rogers. He was a member of Natalbany Baptist Church.
