
Maxie Claude Campbell, age 82, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, and former resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 27th at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was the owner of Campbell's Furniture Store in Bogalusa, Commissioner of Finance for the City of Bogalusa, and retired from BREC as the Purchasing Agent. He is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of First Baptist Church of Kosciusko, MS. He is survived by his children, Debra (George) Eldredge of St. Francisville, LA, Vicki (Austin) Saucier&Tracey (L.D.) Gee, both of Bogalusa, LA, and Leslie (Roye Brown) Lafleur of Covington, LA; grandchildren, George (Angela) Eldredge, Jr, Christopher (Becky) Eldredge, Adam (Laken Lassley), Laura (Logan Emmons) Saucier, Kelli (Phillip) Irwin&Kyle Gee; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie Lindsay of Kosciusko, MS. He is also survived by his very special companion, Mabel Monk of Baton Rouge, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Sharp Campbell and Alma Hodge Campbell. A graveside service will be held at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA is in charge of arrangements.
