
Retired from Exxon Co. USA with 32 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Vitalsource Specialty Hospital. He was 94, born March 18, 1913, in Brusly McCall. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 314th Infantry Regiment and reconnaissance troop He was a member of American Legion Post 38, life member of Knights of Columbus Council 5530 and member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church. He is survived by three sisters and a brother, Annie D. Tolusso, Mildred D. Raiford Garrison, Aline D. Ellis and husband Richard of Baton Rouge, and Claude Dugas Sr. and wife Nancy of Glynn; seven nieces, a nephew, 24 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 19 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Philomene Clouatre Dugas; three brothers-in-law, Leonard Tolusso, Carl Raiford and Willie Garrison; and sister-in-law, Susie Armstrong Dugas; niece and nephew, Sylvia Raiford Wyble and Claude Dugas Jr.; and great-nephew and great-niece, James Murphy IV and Naomi Dugas. Pallbearers will be Ricky Dugas, Gary Coats Jr., Charles Wyble Jr., Bradley Townsend, T.J. Bruner Jr. and Josh Bruner. Honorary pallbearers are Rob Wilson IV, Gary Clouatre, Mike Parnell and John Teche. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, May 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m., led by St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus Council 5530. Visitation at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Francis Minh Hai Nguyen, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
