

Michael was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who shared 37 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Spiller Griffin. He proudly worked for the U.S. Postal service for 40 years and served as a Postmaster for 30 years. After retiring, he filled his days by playing golf, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and as a background actor most notably on NCIS New Orleans.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Michael A. Griffin, Jr. (Tabitha Vu), Kevin C Griffin (Stephanie), Carmen G. Brown (Michael), Amber W. Lloyd (Cliff), Dr. Taylor G. Dickerson (Kyle), and Bryant Griffin; and 15 cherished grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his grandparents Clyde and Ethelyn Griffin; parents Aaron Griffin and Gladys Wilson; brother Jeff Griffin and granddaughter Bailey Marie Meeks.
Michael loved riding motorcycles with family and friends and was a fierce fan of the LSU Tigers . He will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his quick wit, long talks and the joy he brought to those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass that will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, LA., 70726 on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
