Mildred’s life was a testament to love—deeply rooted in her faith, family, and traditions. She expressed her devotion through her extraordinary cooking, known especially for her coconut cake, crawfish bisque, and countless Southern home-cooked meals that brought family and friends together. A quiet and thoughtful woman, Mildred’s words carried both wisdom and humor when she chose to speak.
She was a hands-on mother and grandmother—present at every event, always cheering, encouraging, and nurturing. Mildred loved spending time with family, playing cards and board games with her grandchildren, and never turned down a trip to the casino for a round of Sizzlin’ 7s or a lively game of bingo.
Her steadfast devotion to the Blessed Mother was the foundation of her daily life. She prayed the Rosary faithfully and cherished her Rosary group, where she found deep spiritual connection and lifelong friendship.
Mildred’s legacy is one of love, faith, and family—values she lived every day and instilled in all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered with warmth and gratitude.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her in-laws Joseph George Patin, Jeanette Hudson, Kenneth and Jeanne Patin, James Patin and to her many nieces and nephews who brought her great joy. Special thanks are also offered to Jerion Lindsay and her compassionate caregiving team for their dedicated care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missionaries of Charity in Mildred’s honor.
