On Saturday, April 6, 2019, at just 37 years young, Misty Clover Mott Cousin accepted God's call to come Home. A daughter, a mother and joy to all, Misty holds a special place in the hearts of all those, who have been fortunate enough to be a part of her life's journey. Growing up in Jonesville, LA and then a longtime resident of Monterey, LA, Misty Clover was born in Pineville, LA on the warm summer's day of June 8,1981, to her loving parents, Darryl Carter and Deloice "Sissy" Mott Carter.
Sadly, Misty's father, Darryl passed away in October 2017. But, just as her dad, Misty Clover lived her life bright and free. She was caring and so forgiving. Misty possessed a serine strength, so true and bold. She knew the land, she loved the Lord and from no one else could better stories be told. At the mention of any animal, Misty's Dr. Doo-Little heart would always skip a beat. Her awe and amazement were always so tangible and being in the presence of her wonderment was an unmatchable treat. While Earthbound Misty used all her Spiritual gifts to provide peace and protection to her beloved kids. For, her children gave her the most magic and while on this Earth, magically is how Misty lived. All her God-given Light Misty gladly shared. She blessed all with her love, fierce as the wolf and strong as the bear.
Misty Clover's unique spark survives, shining still, from the hearts and minds of her three, beloved children: her daughter, Ayla Cousin, and her sons Bransen Cousin and Carter Cousin, all of Monterey, LA. Misty is also survived by her mother, Deloice "Sissy" Mott Carter, also of Monterey, LA; two sisters: Heather Carter Vidrine and her husband Bret, of Lafayette, LA; Bridgette Harris, of Vicksburg, MS; two nephews: Vance Vidrine and Cameron Vidrine; a niece: DJ Crooks; seven aunts, three uncles; Step-Grandfather: N. W. Simpson, of Wildsville, LA; her best friend, Audrey Honea and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Misty's life will be officiated by Jason Sparks at Monterey Church of Christ, where Misty was a member, on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at 2:00pm.
Because Misty Clover prayed in Jesus Christ’s name,
The Pearly Gates were opened,
and if you knew Misty, you know,
Heaven will, most certainly, never be the same.
