Myra Louise Pitre Gass

Myra Louise Pitre Gass, 99, a native of Opelousas, LA and resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gass; son, Thomas “Boy” Gass; parents, Jules and Pearl Fontenot Pitre; and brother, Kenneth “Tee” Pitre. Myra is survived by her brothers, Gerald and Earl Pitre; sister, Beverly Doucet; children, Barbara Day (Bobbie), Evelyn Smith, Stephanie Thompson (Les), and Barry Gass (Arlene); 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 9 am until funeral services at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Darrell and Brandon Frederic, Allen, Brent and Michael Smith, Dustin Delage, and David Gass.
