

Odile Marie Boudreaux LaneA native and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, Odile passed away on October 27, 2015 in Wilmington, NC at the age of 87. A life-long member of the Roman Catholic Church, she was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge, and a 1949 graduate of The College of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, LA. After her retirement from teaching, she enjoyed her weekly sewing group and monthly lunches with her fellow alumni and Home Demonstration Ladies. Odile loved to drink Community Coffee, read, play cards, to travel, and is known for her loving support of her family and friends. She is dearly loved and greatly missed. Left to treasure her memory are her children, Donna C. Jenkins of Rigby, ID., Les L. Lane (wife Michelle) of Baton Rouge, LA, Cindy L. Watts (husband Kevin) of Hampstead, NC, Matt C. Lane (wife Cindy) of Salem, OR, and Mark R. Lane of Kingston, RI; 10 grandchildren of Idaho, Utah, Louisiana, and Maryland; 17 great "“grandchildren; sister, Gloria Jean "Jinkie" Phillips of Baton Rouge, LA; best-friend and 1st cousin, Grace Boudreaux Burton of Baton Rouge, LA; and her beloved dog Cher Bebe. Odile is preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Lane; and parents Cleveland L. Boudreaux and Odile Cailleteau Boudreaux. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (445 Marquette Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70806) from 8:30 AM with the Rosary at 9:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. The graveside service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Odile's name may be made to St. Joseph's Academy (Advancement Office, 3015 Broussard St., Baton Rouge, LA 70808).
